Eagles

There are around 60 species of eagle, most of which are found in Eurasia and Africa. They are powerfully built birds of prey with heavy heads and beaks. The Bald Eagle is famously known as being the national bird of the United States.

Chilean Blue Eagle is also known as the Stinky eagle because it’s favourite food is a skunk!

In Mongolia they still hunt with Golden Eagles, The youngest person in this year’s competition was an 11 year old girl. 

Male Bald eagles despite having a 7.5 ft wing span only weigh 9 pounds.

In winter Steppe Eagles are usually found in groups sometimes as big as 100 birds.
