All packaging used within the centre is recycled or reused as much as possible

Food Sourcing

· Fresh food items are sourced as locally as possible

· Frozen meat items come from reputable zoological suppliers

· Prepared food items are sourced from as much sustainable practicing companies as feasible

Food waste

The collection limits its food waste as much as possible by limiting food bought to site

Meat based items are generally sourced frozen thereby minimising wastage

Fresh food items are sourced as needed or within smaller quantities to thereby minimise the amount of food wastage

Footprint

The collection acknowledges the footprint it has on the environment and aims to minimise this as much as possible

· Electricity is all renewable via the Millets Site Landlords initiative

· EV charging is available on Millet Site

· Toilet facilities are co-shared to not add to water wastage

· Water usage is limited to that supplied to the collection by Millets Site Landlords who have their own water conserving practice

· Enclosure/ environmental enrichment such as branches are sourced locally as much as possible
